Get ready to laugh your way through the chaos of the online world! Ashe Early College High School will present The Internet is Distract—OH LOOK A KITTEN! on November 13–15 at 7:30 p.m. at the Ashe County Civic Center.
This fast-paced comedy follows Micah, a student with just forty-five minutes to finish her paper on The Great Gatsby. All she needs to do is check one quick fact online—but the internet has other plans. From boxing cats to pop-up ads and viral videos, Micah’s journey down the digital rabbit hole is hilariously relatable to anyone who’s ever been sidetracked online.
Tickets are $10 and can be purchased at the door. Don’t miss this witty and energetic performance that proves just how easily we all get distracted—OH LOOK, A KITTEN!

New Wendy in Neverland

Wendy, a modern-day teen, wakes up in Neverland, where she thinks she is lost in an amusement park where the staff are trying to incorporate her into their theatrics. She follows Tinkerbell and her fairy cohorts to find the Park Director and cell phone reception. On the way, she is accosted by Captain Hook and his pirate crew, who want Wendy’s cell phone to track the ever-present crocodile. She, however, is soon rescued by Peter Pan and the Lost Boys. But as two worlds begin to weave together, we realize that there is more to this story, which Tinkerbell seems to be narrating, than meets the eye. And when the world collides, Wendy must decide whether to stay in Neverland with the charmingly captivating Peter Pan or return home to her mother.
